Queen City Coterie is a collaborative event planning/consulting company that curates the best vendors, ideas, and items to help you create the perfect celebration.

While we are happy to help plan your wedding and large-scale events, our specialty lies in the more small-scale parties like birthday parties, private holiday parties, and wedding and baby showers.

Our virtual event planning packages make it easy, affordable, and more accessible for anyone, where ever you are, to take advantage of our services. Just purchase one of our packages, and you can have a perfectly crafted party plan in 7-14 days (and, in some cases, have all of the supplies too!)

About our Name
Tuscaloosa, Alabama, our home base, was once nicknamed "Queen City" thanks to the railroad route running through town that was known as the "Queen and Crescent Route". Its regal nature and historical ties made for the perfect namesake for our company.
Coterie (pronounced co-ter-ree) is defined as "intimate and often exclusive group of persons with a unifying common interest or purpose". While we are obviously all about promoting gathering of folks in celebration, we also want the Queen City Coterie to be a hub of resources, ideas and vendors all working together to help you plan your perfect event!
About the Owner
Maegan Slaten Biehn - Owner, Planner,Designer
Our owner, Maegan, has been planning events either personally or professionally for the past 15 years! While the themes and purposes varied (anything from private tailgates, baby showers, and birthday parties to art gallery openings, corporate parties, and weddings), Maegan has experience in just about any type of event!

While event planning has always been her passion, it wasn't until after having her own daughter, Eliza, in 2018, that she saw the need for easy, affordable event planning services for people who want a beautiful party, but don't have time to curate all of the vendors, resources, and details to make it happen.

In 2021, Queen City Coterie was born as a way to do just that! Maegan prides herself in the details and helping you create meaningful, beautiful, and affordable celebrations for all of life's important events.
